Come join the fun and compete this summer with the Voorhees Stars Girls Softball program in the "B" level Mid-States Girls Softball League. We will roster teams at 10U, 12U, 14U and High School Divisions. It is anticipated that games will take place Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. from approximately June 12 through July 22. There will typically be one practice per week, usually on Tuesdays or Thursdays. The 12U and 14U teams are already committed to compete in the Long Valley Atalese Charity Tournament on May 21. There are no weekend games or practices. However, we may compete in one more weekend tournament after June 19, depending on player availability. There will be 10 regular season games, and single-elimination play-offs in July. Each division will host 5 home games, which will be played at Tewksbury's Old Turnpike School's "Upper" and "Lower" softball fields, 171 Old Turnpike Road. The older divisions will compete at Voorhees High School's varsity softball field, 256 County Road 513, Glen Gardner. The Old Turnpike School "Lower" field and Voorhees High School boast new softball scoreboards. All managers and coaches are Rutgers Safety Clinic certified.
Registration is $240 per player, which includes League fees, umpires, insurance, one tournament fee, tournament T-shirts, game field preparation, supplies and maintenance, visors, black socks, Branchburg Sports Complex batting cage expenses, and costs for our annual end of the year party in November at the Califon Firehouse, plus all food and beverages for players and families.
